ColdPlungeSpot participates in affiliate advertising programs. This means that when you click a link on this site and purchase a product, we may earn a commission from that sale. This commission comes at no additional cost to you - the price you pay is identical whether you arrive through our link or go directly to the retailer's website.

Which programs we participate in

We currently participate in the following affiliate programs:

• Amazon Associates Program - As an Amazon Associate, ColdPlungeSpot earns from qualifying purchases made through Amazon affiliate links on this site.
• Direct brand affiliate programs - We maintain direct affiliate relationships with cold plunge manufacturers and retailers including, but not limited to, Plunge, Ice Barrel, Grizzly Coolers, LIT Method, Kodiak, and others. These relationships are established independently of our review process.

How affiliate relationships affect our reviews

They don't. ColdPlungeSpot's editorial process is independent of all commercial relationships. Our rankings and review scores are determined by Dr. Renee Halvorsen's testing methodology, not by commission rates, advertising budgets, or any commercial arrangement with manufacturers.

We do not accept payment for positive reviews, do not allow brands to pre-approve review content, and do not alter scores based on affiliate status. Products we don't have affiliate links for receive the same testing treatment as products we do. A product with no affiliate link may outrank one we earn commissions from - and this happens regularly on our site.

FTC compliance

In compliance with FTC guidelines (16 CFR Part 255), ColdPlungeSpot discloses material connections with brands and retailers. Any page on this site that contains affiliate links will display an affiliate disclosure notice near the top of the content. This disclosure satisfies our obligation under the FTC's "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising."

How we use revenue

Affiliate commissions fund the ongoing operation of ColdPlungeSpot - equipment purchases, testing costs, publishing, and research. Without this revenue, we could not maintain the level of hands-on testing that distinguishes our reviews. We believe transparent affiliate revenue is preferable to the alternative: paywalls, sponsored content, or review scores influenced by advertising spend.
